We're a non-profit radio station. It means we don't make millions from advertising. It also means we can play the music you like. That's a decent trade-off. You give us money to stay on the air; we play the music you want to hear.

I love KRS One, and I agree with mostly everything he was saying with the exception of Kanye’s album not being Hip Hop. Hip Hop is not a sound it is a spirit of expression. Taking what you know and making music out of it. Hip Hop has evolved beyond to street to all over the world and when we constrain it, we hurt it. Just ask Afrika Bambaataa.
