A little bit of country, a little bit of blues…some Milwaukee made beats and Milwaukee made art. This is your city this week in Make Milwaukee…

Wednesday night, catch Ben Kweller‘s journey into country as he performs songs from his latest release “Changing Horses” at Turner Ballroom. The show starts at 8pm with openers The Watson Twins.

Later Wednesday night you can witness another installment of the Miltown Beatdown at the Jackalope Lounj from 10pm-Midnight.

Thursday night from 6:30-8:30pm Music Under Glass welcomes the blues of Reverend Raven. Peter Adams, our underwriting manager, will be on hand to say hi and offer you our reusable tote bags while supplies last.

Friday is February’s MAM After Dark event at the Art Museum. This month the series collaborates with Cedar Block, an events-planning organization bent on continually challenging Milwaukee’s creative types. Check out what they come up with as artists are asked to bring Jan Lievens’ portraiture into the modern age using the latest technology.

Saturday stop by Discovery World for Present Music‘s Sound Brain, a premiere performance by the 29-year-old Wisconsin-born composer Ryan Carter. With two sit down concerts at 7pm and 9pm guests are invited to wander the various galleries from 6-11pm.
