Are You Feeling This | High School For Recording Arts, Caribou, Gorillaz, and Lindstrom & Christabelle

Lots of songs never make it to the radio that are getting lots of attention online. Live tracks, sanctioned and unsanctioned remixes, mash-ups, overlooked gems by unsigned artists. Every week on “Are You Feeling This,” we invite you to hear what the buzz is all about. You tell us what you think. Vote in the Are You Feeling This poll, leave a comment, send us an e-mail.

This week we have music from the Gorillaz, Caribou, Lindstrom & Christabelle, and a special song with a special story about Haiti from the students at the High School For the Recording Arts(HSRA) out of  the Twin Cities of Minneapolis/St Paul. Take a listen below and let us know what you think by voting in the “Are You Feeling This” listener poll.

Lindstrom & Christabelle – “So Much Fun”
Gorillaz – “Stylo feat. Bobby Womack & Mos Def”
Check out the video for the song below.
Here is some background on this song:
The students of High School for Recording Arts (aka “Hip Hop High”) were deeply moved as they became aware of the situation in Haiti. Since they did not have much money to donate, they decided to use their skills in music and video production to create a call to action for donations and to send a message of support to the people of Haiti. The students researched, wrote, recorded, and produced the song + created the video on their own IN 24 HOURS—between 6 p.m. Thursday and 6 p.m. Friday two weeks ago. The woman speaking at the end of the video is an HSRA staff/family member, Saintanne Agbangba, who is originally from Haiti. The clip of Saintanne speaking at the end of the video was taken from a student assembly on the topic of Haiti.
