Event | Valentine’s Day Recommendations from The Architect: John Forte and Daedelus

Alright this must be said, “I am not a fan of Valentine’s Day.”  I rather stay at home with a six pack of PBR, and watch Aqua Teen Hunger Force.  However, this Sunday there are a couple of shows that I think would make great dates.  Caution: If I see you at one of these shows making out, I might douse you with water. You have been warned.

The first show will feature an artist that most of you should know or at least heard his music. John Forte will grace Shank Hall this Valentine’s Day.  John Forte is a grammy winning artist who was a producer and MC for the Fugees and played a pivotal role in the album The Score. John Forte was pardon by George W. Bush over year ago and released from prison. You can read about Forte’s experiences after prison on The Daily Beast. Forte recently release an EP called Stylefree, which you can hear a song from it on 88Nine RadioMilwaukee. Check out the article on John Forte from Shepherd Express.

The second show is for those who want to see something really unique and different. Experimental electronica artist Daedelus graces the stage at Mad Planet along with Nosaj Thing, Jogger and Buffalo. Daedelus has been pushing the boundaries of electronic music and even hip hop with his production styles for many years now.  This show will be a definite treat at least for me.
