On July 23rd, 2010, 88NINE is teaming up with Newaukee, Milwaukee’s premier young professionals group, and the Urban Ecology Center to present…
THE NEW ECOLOGY OF SOUND.
This fund raiser for Radio Milwaukee will feature great tunes, beautiful atmosphere, tasty beverages and a whole lot of wonderful people.
Our friends at NEWAUKEE, felt it was about time to get the folks who have not, to set foot inside one of Milwaukee’s best kept secrets; THE URBAN ECOLOGY CENTER(UEC). Nestled just 3 blocks north of the old Pizza Man on Park Street, the Ecology Center has quickly been turning heads and changing communities. The UEC is a haven of green initiatives and a stomping ground for like minded people. Featuring a rock climbing wall, lookout tower, community gardens, canoes, kayaks, Trek Mountain bikes, snow shoes and skis, this place is a hidden urban Oasis.
Urban Ecology Center will set the mood for an evening of unique and eceltic sounds.
Milwaukee singer, songwritter and rising start ETHAN KELLER will headline an night of MKE music at the Urban Ecology Center. Ethan will be joined on stage by percussionist CEELOE ( of Kings Go Forth and De La Buena ) and our very own Jordan “Madhatter” Lee.
Milwaukee Hip Hop hero Frankie Flowers will also grace the stage with his unique and high energy rap.
Kicking the show off with his infectious and catchy sounds, Milwaukee’s own KYLE FEERICK.
