Site of the Day:

One of the main reasons that President-Elect Barack Obama won the presidency is his use of technology during his campaign.  He made the internet an integral part of his campaign not just an add-on or an after-thought.  He empowered volunteers through the campaign’s social network MyBO, utilized youtube effectively to pass along his message of hope and change, and a mulitude of technological tools to get the people involved in the political process.   Well Obama hasn’t stop the use of technology after the campaign. He as created a site for his transition called  It was up and running about 24 hours after the election.

This site is for the Office of the President-elect and Office of the Vice President-elect, as recognized by the Presidential Transition Act of 1963, as amended (3 USC 102 note). The Presidential Transition Act specifically authorizes the Administrator of GSA to provide services and support to the Office of the President-elect beginning the day after the election until 30 days after the inauguration to support the orderly transfer of executive power after a general election. This site provides information to the public in support of this important public purpose.

Throughout the Presidential Transition Project, this website will be your source for the latest news, events, and announcements so that you can follow the setting up of the Obama Administration. And just as this historic campaign was, from the beginning, about you — the transition process will offer you opportunities to participate in redefining our government.

Obama is even hosting a weekly youtube address.  A first of its kind (just like his election victory).

I really like what I am seeing.  One of Obama’s goals as president is to make government more transparent through the use of technology.  Check out this video that covers his Technology platform.

Based off the way Obama ran his campaign, do you think he can do the same for goverment through the use of techonogly?

Freebie: Brother Ali, “Mr. President (You’re the Man)”

My man Brother Ali released this track after the election.  You can definitely hear the pride in his voice in his song.  Listen to the lyrics closely.  Don’t forget RadioMilwaukee welcomes Brother Ali to Turner Hall Ballroom on Saturday, November 22nd.

Mos Def Got My Vote!

One of my favorite magazine GOOD started a short video series entitled “If I Were President”.  Here is Mos Def’s platform.  If he was running on the platform he mentioned in this video, he would get my vote.

Speaking of Mos Def, check out this new tune from the multi-talented actor/mc.

South Carolina Democratic Party You Suck

I am officially ashamed I have lived in South Carolina. I wasted a part of my childhood. Why you ask? The South Carolina Democratic Party has decided not to allow my candidate, Stephen Colbert on the ballot. Is this a democracy or dictatorship? You know what I think? I think they are scared if Mr. Colbert gets on the ballot. The rest of the candidates would have to step up their game and be honest with the people. What candidate wants to be honest with the people?

Mr. Colbert, I invite you to run as an independent in Wisconsin. I would be honored if you got on the ballot here. If anyone in Wisconsin would like to pursue Wisconsin for Colbert, please contact me or leave a comment. I am serious. I want to give a wake-up call to the political landscape.

Carol Fowler (chairman of the South Carolina Democratic party) I hope you get a lump of coal and a Mitt Romney bobble head.

Obama’s Soulja Boy

A candidate that speaks dances to the people. You go Obama! Is it me or does Ellen dance better than Obama?

Wisconsin for Colbert

From Meet the Press

As some of you know, I am now backing Stephen Colbert for president; however, he is only running in South Carolina. This poll and this report got me thinking. Why does South Carolina get all the fun? Let’s get Stephen Colbert on the Ballot in Wisconsin. Anyway it is easier to get on the ballot in Wisconsin than South Carolina. Plus the deadline is not until Sept 2008. Colbert will only need 2000 signatures of registered Wisconsin Voters.

Why do I want to do this? Is to give these real comedians who call themselves politicians a wake-up call. These candidates only care about money not the real issues in this country (Republican or Democrat). They use canned speeches and cliches when they talk to us. I bet none of them can have a true honest discussion from the heart. If Stephen Colbert, can get higher in polls, maybe the politicians might change.

So Mr. Colbert please consider to be on the ballot in Wisconsin (it is easier). Hey if Arnold and Jesse can do it, anything possible.

Finally I have a Candidate I can back

With all the phony politicians running for president, I almost gave up on the 2008 election until now.   A candidate that understands my values.  Hilary who, Mit who, Obama who?

Maybe this will turn out like the Jesse Ventura the Governor.
